GRILLED BREAD

An easy way to make a good meal great is to have some warm, grilled bread. This preparation is best with a thick cut of bread, and the garlic is a subtle but flavorful addition. Best accompanied with soup, salad, or pasta.

Ingredients

  • Sliced French bread or baguette, 1" thick

  • 1-2 garlic cloves, halved

  • Olive oil, for brushing

Preparation 

  1. Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat.

  2. Rub bread all over with cut side of garlic.

  3. Brush bread with olive oil on both sides.

  4. Place oiled bread on grill pan and grill until golden brown.

  5. Flip bread, and repeat on other side.

Alternate ways to make grilled bread: put on an actual grill, or heat oven to 325' and place on cookie sheet (flip once during cooking).
